Getting started

What is IPTV and how does it work?

IPTV (Internet Protocol Television) streams live channels, films and series over your internet connection instead of a satellite dish or cable. You install a player app on your device, log in with the details we send you, and start watching — no dish, no box, no engineer visit. It's the same technology behind Netflix and the RTÉ Player.

I'm not very tech-savvy — can I still use it?

Absolutely. If you can use a TV remote and install an app, you can use OwlIPTV. Setup usually takes under five minutes, and our team will walk you through every step on WhatsApp if you'd like. See the setup guide for your device.

How quickly can I start watching after I subscribe?

Usually within minutes. Once your subscription or free trial is confirmed, we send your login on WhatsApp, you enter it into your player, and the channels and on-demand library load straight in.

Do I need a dish, aerial or set-top box?

No. All you need is a device you already own (Firestick, smart TV, phone, tablet or laptop) and a broadband connection. There's no dish, no cabling and no special hardware to buy.

Devices & setup

Which devices does OwlIPTV work on?

Amazon Firestick & Fire TV, smart TVs (Samsung, LG, Android TV), Android phones & boxes, iPhone & iPad, MAG boxes, Windows and Mac. The same login works across all of them. Step-by-step help is in the setup guide.

Which app should I use?

Most people use IPTV Smarters Pro or TiviMate — they work the same way across devices. These are third-party apps; we simply recommend the best one for your screen and give you the login.

Can I watch on more than one device at once?

Yes — choose a 2-device plan to stream on two screens at the same time. You can set the same login up on as many devices as your plan allows. See pricing for the options.

How do I set up the TV guide (EPG)?

With our login the EPG usually loads automatically. If it doesn't, our TV guide (EPG) page shows how to add it and fix common issues like wrong times.

Can I record or pause live TV?

Yes — depending on your player you can pause and rewind live TV, use catch-up, and record programmes. Full details are on our catch-up & recording page.

Channels & content

What channels and content are included?

19,000+ live channels covering local Irish, UK, European, Indian, Asian and worldwide TV, every sport and PPV event, plus a 99,000+ films & box sets library on demand — all on one login.

Do you have Irish channels and live sport?

Yes — local Irish channels plus all the sports channels and pay-per-view events, including the big football, GAA, rugby and fight nights. Ask us on WhatsApp if you want a specific channel confirmed.

Are films and box sets really included?

Yes — a huge on-demand library of 99,000+ films and full box sets, in 4K and HD where available, with new titles added regularly. Browse the films & box sets page for more.

Is the picture really in 4K?

Many channels and titles stream in true 4K and HD with anti-freeze technology for stability. Your picture also depends on your internet speed and device — see our 4K IPTV Ireland page.

Broadband & quality

What internet speed do I need?

Around 10 Mbps is fine for HD and 25 Mbps or more is recommended for 4K. For live 4K sport, a wired Ethernet connection is steadier than Wi-Fi. Most Irish broadband plans comfortably handle this.

Does it work with my broadband provider?

Yes — OwlIPTV works on any Irish broadband, including Eir, Virgin Media, Vodafone, Sky Broadband, Three, Digiweb and others. You just need a stable connection.

Why is my stream buffering?

Buffering is almost always the internet connection or an out-of-date app — not the channel. Restart your device, make sure the player is updated, and check your speed. If it continues, message us and we'll help.

How much data does IPTV use?

Roughly 3 GB per hour in HD and up to about 7 GB per hour in 4K. If you watch a lot, an unlimited broadband plan is best — which most Irish home plans already are.

Payment & plans

How much does OwlIPTV cost?

Plans start at €14 for one month and drop to about €5/mo on the 12-month plan, with the same full library on every plan. See all options on the pricing page.

How do I pay, and are my card details stored?

No card details are ever stored on this website. You choose a plan, message us on WhatsApp, and we confirm secure payment options privately before activating your line.

Is there a contract or auto-renewal?

No long lock-in and no surprise auto-billing. You choose the length that suits you and simply renew when it suits you.

Can I get a refund?

If something is wrong on our side, we'll always work to fix it first. Because access is delivered instantly, we can't refund issues that are device-, app- or network-side, or where a player simply hasn't been updated. The fastest path is always to message support so we can sort it.

Free trial

Can I try OwlIPTV before I pay?

Yes — start a free trial with no card and see the full service on your own telly first. When you're happy, pick a plan. Start your free trial here.

Is the free trial the full service?

Yes — it's the complete service, not a cut-down demo: all the channels, sport, films and box sets, in 4K and HD, so you can properly test it before deciding.

Do I need to enter card details for the trial?

No card, no contract and no auto-bill. The trial simply ends on its own — there's nothing to cancel and no risk in trying it.

Support & troubleshooting

How do I get help if something isn't working?

Message us on WhatsApp any time — we're online 24/7 and usually reply within 3–5 minutes. A real person will help you set up or fix anything on our side. Reach us via the contact page.

What are your support hours?

We're open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week — including evenings, weekends and match nights, serving viewers right across Ireland.

My login isn't working — what should I do?

Double-check the username, password and server URL are entered exactly as we sent them (they're case-sensitive). If it still won't connect, message us and we'll check your line and resend your details.

Will my subscription work when I travel?

Yes — your login works wherever you have a solid internet connection, so you can take your channels and library with you. If you have any trouble away from home, just message support.

No questions match that search. Try a different word, or ask us on WhatsApp.

Still have a question?

Can't find what you're after? A real person is on WhatsApp 24/7 and usually replies within 3–5 minutes.
