Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy

What personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it. Written plainly, GDPR-aligned, and built around how we actually work.

Last updated: 1 June 2026

The short version

  • We collect your email and WhatsApp number to deliver your subscription — nothing more from you directly.
  • No card or bank details are stored on our website. All payments are arranged manually via WhatsApp or email.
  • We use Google Analytics 4 and Meta Pixel to understand how visitors find and use the site.
  • We never sell your data. We share it only with the processors needed to run the service (email, WhatsApp, Google, Meta).
  • You have full GDPR rights — access, deletion, objection, portability. Email us any time.

1 Who we are & data controller

This Privacy Policy explains how OwlIPTV ("OwlIPTV", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses and protects personal information of visitors and subscribers of owliptv.irish.

For the purposes of the General Data Protection Regulation (EU 2016/679) and the Irish Data Protection Act 2018, OwlIPTV is the data controller of the personal information we hold about you.

You can reach our data-protection contact via [email protected] or WhatsApp.

2 What personal data we collect

We only collect what's genuinely needed to deliver and improve OwlIPTV. Here's the full list:

What we never collect

We do not collect or store credit-card or bank-account numbers, government IDs, social-security numbers, passwords from other services, or any "sensitive personal data" (race, religion, political opinions, health, etc.).

3 How we use your data

Your information is used only for the following purposes:

  • To deliver your subscription — confirming your order, sending login details by WhatsApp/email, activating the service.
  • To provide support — troubleshooting issues, helping you set up devices, replacing lost details where possible.
  • To process refunds — verifying purchase, login ID and reported issues per our Refund Policy.
  • To run the website and analytics — understanding how visitors use the site, measuring marketing effectiveness, improving page performance.
  • To prevent abuse and fraud — detecting credential sharing beyond plan limits, multiple-trial abuse, chargeback fraud and similar.
  • To comply with legal obligations — accounting, tax, responses to lawful requests from authorities.

We do not use your data for automated decision-making that produces legal effects on you, and we do not engage in profiling beyond standard website analytics.

4 Legal bases under GDPR

Under GDPR we must have a lawful basis for processing your data. The bases we rely on are:

  • Performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b)) — for everything required to deliver and support your OwlIPTV subscription.
  • Consent (Article 6(1)(a)) — for non-essential cookies, analytics and marketing-pixel tracking. You can withdraw this at any time (see Section 5).
  • Legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)) — for fraud prevention, network security, business analytics, and protecting our service against abuse. Where we rely on this we've considered your rights and freedoms and concluded our interest doesn't override them. You can object at any time.
  • Legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)) — for record-keeping (accounting, tax) and responding to lawful authority requests.

5 Cookies & tracking technologies

owliptv.irish uses cookies and similar technologies to make the site work, remember preferences, and measure performance.

Categories of cookie we use

TypePurpose
Strictly necessaryRequired for the site to work — e.g. remembering your cookie consent choice. Cannot be disabled.
Analytics (Google Analytics 4)Helps us understand how visitors find and use the site — pages viewed, time on site, traffic sources. Uses cookies and a Google-managed identifier. Set with your consent.
Marketing (Meta Pixel)Allows us to measure the effectiveness of our advertising on Facebook and Instagram and to show relevant ads to people who've visited the site. Uses cookies and a Meta-managed identifier. Set with your consent.

Managing your consent

Where required by law, we ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time by clearing the site cookies in your browser and re-visiting the site, or by using your browser's "Do Not Track" / privacy settings.

WhatsApp click tracking

When you click a WhatsApp button on our site, we record the click event (button location, page URL, page title) via Google Analytics 4 and Meta Pixel — this is anonymous click data, not the content of any subsequent WhatsApp conversation. We do not transmit personal details to either platform through this mechanism.

Opting out of analytics

You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking with the Google Analytics Opt-out browser add-on, and out of Meta tracking via your Facebook/Instagram ad preferences. Browser-level "Do Not Track" and content-blocking extensions also work.

6 Third-party data processors

We share your data only with the providers we need to run OwlIPTV. Each is a "processor" under GDPR, contractually bound to handle data on our instructions and in line with applicable law.

ProcessorWhat they do

Meta (Facebook Pixel)Marketing measurement and ad targeting. Receives page-view and conversion events. Meta Privacy Policy →
WhatsApp (Meta Platforms Ireland)Customer support and order communication. End-to-end encrypted messages, governed by WhatsApp's own terms. WhatsApp Privacy Policy →
Email providerDelivery of activation emails and customer communication. Subject to the provider's own privacy and security terms.
Website hostingHosting of owliptv.irish, server logs and basic security/firewall services.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

7 International data transfers

Some of our processors (notably Google and Meta) are headquartered outside the European Economic Area, and your data may be transferred to or processed in countries including the United States. Where this happens, we rely on legal safeguards permitted under GDPR — primarily the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and/or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where applicable.

You can request more information about these safeguards by contacting us at [email protected].

8 How long we keep your data

We keep personal data only for as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, or as required by law:

  • Subscription & support records — kept for the duration of your subscription plus a reasonable period afterwards for renewals, support continuity and dispute resolution.
  • Order & payment records — retained for the period required by Irish tax and accounting law (typically up to 6 years).
  • WhatsApp and email correspondence — retained while it remains relevant to a customer relationship; older threads may be archived or deleted.
  • Analytics data — retained by Google Analytics and Meta per their own retention policies and our account settings. We don't keep raw analytics data beyond what's needed for current reporting.
  • Login credentials — deactivated at the end of an unrenewed subscription; full record removed within a reasonable period afterwards.

If you request deletion of your data (see Section 9), we will delete what we lawfully can and explain anything we must retain for legal reasons.

9 Your rights under GDPR

You have the following rights over the personal data we hold about you. You can exercise any of these by emailing [email protected] or messaging us on WhatsApp. We respond within one month, free of charge for reasonable requests.

10 Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data, including:

  • HTTPS encryption across the entire owliptv.irish website.
  • No card or bank-account storage on our site — manual payment processing means we never hold those details.
  • End-to-end encrypted support channel via WhatsApp.
  • Restricted access to customer records — only our support team handles them, and only as needed for support.
  • Regular updates to the website, hosting infrastructure and security measures.

No system is ever 100% secure. If we ever become aware of a personal-data breach that's likely to result in a risk to your rights, we will notify the Irish Data Protection Commission within 72 hours as required, and notify affected users directly where required by law.

11 Children & under-18s

OwlIPTV is intended for users aged 18 and over, in line with our Terms of Service. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.

If you believe a child has provided personal data to us — for example, through a trial request — please contact us immediately at [email protected] and we will delete the data and any associated account.

12 Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our service, new processors we use, or updates to applicable law. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always show the most recent version. Material changes will be highlighted on the website where reasonable.

Continued use of OwlIPTV after a change means you accept the updated Privacy Policy.
