What personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it. Written plainly, GDPR-aligned, and built around how we actually work.

This Privacy Policy explains how OwlIPTV ("OwlIPTV", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses and protects personal information of visitors and subscribers of owliptv.irish.
For the purposes of the General Data Protection Regulation (EU 2016/679) and the Irish Data Protection Act 2018, OwlIPTV is the data controller of the personal information we hold about you.
You can reach our data-protection contact via [email protected] or WhatsApp.
We only collect what's genuinely needed to deliver and improve OwlIPTV. Here's the full list:
| Data | How we get it |
|---|---|
| Email address | You provide it when you order, request a trial, or contact support. |
| WhatsApp number | You provide it when you message us — used to send login details and provide support. |
| Payment receipts & references | You share these in chat to confirm your order — we keep a record for accounting and refund verification. We do not store card or bank account numbers. |
| Subscription details | Your assigned username/login ID, plan length, device limit and renewal dates — generated and stored by us. |
| Support history | Your WhatsApp messages and emails with us, so we can give continuous support and resolve issues. |
| Device & usage data | Browser type, operating system, approximate location (city/country), pages visited, time on site, referrer, and similar — collected via Google Analytics 4 and Meta Pixel. |
| IP address | Captured automatically by web servers and analytics tools. Used for security, fraud prevention and geographic analytics. |
| Cookies & identifiers | See Section 5 below — covers analytics cookies, Meta Pixel identifiers and any consent choices you make. |
We do not collect or store credit-card or bank-account numbers, government IDs, social-security numbers, passwords from other services, or any "sensitive personal data" (race, religion, political opinions, health, etc.).
Your information is used only for the following purposes:
We do not use your data for automated decision-making that produces legal effects on you, and we do not engage in profiling beyond standard website analytics.
Under GDPR we must have a lawful basis for processing your data. The bases we rely on are:
owliptv.irish uses cookies and similar technologies to make the site work, remember preferences, and measure performance.
| Type | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Required for the site to work — e.g. remembering your cookie consent choice. Cannot be disabled. |
| Analytics (Google Analytics 4) | Helps us understand how visitors find and use the site — pages viewed, time on site, traffic sources. Uses cookies and a Google-managed identifier. Set with your consent. |
| Marketing (Meta Pixel) | Allows us to measure the effectiveness of our advertising on Facebook and Instagram and to show relevant ads to people who've visited the site. Uses cookies and a Meta-managed identifier. Set with your consent. |
Where required by law, we ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time by clearing the site cookies in your browser and re-visiting the site, or by using your browser's "Do Not Track" / privacy settings.
When you click a WhatsApp button on our site, we record the click event (button location, page URL, page title) via Google Analytics 4 and Meta Pixel — this is anonymous click data, not the content of any subsequent WhatsApp conversation. We do not transmit personal details to either platform through this mechanism.
You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking with the Google Analytics Opt-out browser add-on, and out of Meta tracking via your Facebook/Instagram ad preferences. Browser-level "Do Not Track" and content-blocking extensions also work.
We share your data only with the providers we need to run OwlIPTV. Each is a "processor" under GDPR, contractually bound to handle data on our instructions and in line with applicable law.
| Processor | What they do |
|---|---|
| Google (Google Analytics 4) | Website analytics. Receives anonymised event data, IP, device and approximate location. Google Privacy Policy → |
| Meta (Facebook Pixel) | Marketing measurement and ad targeting. Receives page-view and conversion events. Meta Privacy Policy → |
| WhatsApp (Meta Platforms Ireland) | Customer support and order communication. End-to-end encrypted messages, governed by WhatsApp's own terms. WhatsApp Privacy Policy → |
| Email provider | Delivery of activation emails and customer communication. Subject to the provider's own privacy and security terms. |
| Website hosting | Hosting of owliptv.irish, server logs and basic security/firewall services. |
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Some of our processors (notably Google and Meta) are headquartered outside the European Economic Area, and your data may be transferred to or processed in countries including the United States. Where this happens, we rely on legal safeguards permitted under GDPR — primarily the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and/or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where applicable.
You can request more information about these safeguards by contacting us at [email protected].
We keep personal data only for as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, or as required by law:
If you request deletion of your data (see Section 9), we will delete what we lawfully can and explain anything we must retain for legal reasons.
You have the following rights over the personal data we hold about you. You can exercise any of these by emailing [email protected] or messaging us on WhatsApp. We respond within one month, free of charge for reasonable requests.
Ask us what data we hold on you and get a copy of it.
Have inaccurate or incomplete data about you corrected.
Have your data deleted (with limited legal exceptions, such as tax records).
Have processing of your data paused while a dispute is resolved.
Receive your data in a portable, machine-readable format, or have it transferred to another provider.
Object to processing based on legitimate interest, including direct marketing.
Withdraw consent you've given for analytics, marketing or other consent-based processing at any time.
Lodge a complaint with the Irish Data Protection Commission — see Section 13.
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data, including:
No system is ever 100% secure. If we ever become aware of a personal-data breach that's likely to result in a risk to your rights, we will notify the Irish Data Protection Commission within 72 hours as required, and notify affected users directly where required by law.
OwlIPTV is intended for users aged 18 and over, in line with our Terms of Service. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.
If you believe a child has provided personal data to us — for example, through a trial request — please contact us immediately at [email protected] and we will delete the data and any associated account.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our service, new processors we use, or updates to applicable law. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always show the most recent version. Material changes will be highlighted on the website where reasonable.
Continued use of OwlIPTV after a change means you accept the updated Privacy Policy.
For any privacy question, data request or concern, contact us first — we'll usually sort it the same day:
Email is preferred for formal data requests. WhatsApp is fine for quick questions.
If you are not satisfied with our handling of your personal data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Irish Data Protection Commission:
